The Program
D.El.Ed. or Diploma in Elementary Education is a two-year teacher training program that prepares candidates to teach at the primary and upper primary levels in Kerala. The course content includes both theory and practical components, such as workshops, internships, and school experience programs. The course covers various subjects, such as Malayalam, English, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, Art, Work Education, Health and Physical Education, ICT, and Educational Psychology.
Aim
Develop the competencies and skills of prospective teachers to teach in child-friendly and inclusive classrooms.
Career Options
The prospective teachers can pursue a career as an elementary teacher in private or government schools in Kerala and other states.
